It might be a stereotype to say that French women know how to dress, but for Alissia this phrase rings true. I met Alissia during her study abroad year in the states in 2011 and was completely impressed by her independence and adventurous spirit. To top it off, her sense of style is chic and achieved with admirable ease. She owns a complimentary, high quality palette of clothing that seems to look good no matter what. At the end of her school year, I inherited a few shirts from her that I still wear to this day. When I heard she was passing through town again, I snapped up the opportunity to photograph her. Subtle details like gray laces contrasting with black boots, a denim button-up beneath a knitted piece, and neutral colors mixed with a play of textures makes for a very sophisticated look that is distinctly her own.
