When I was younger I used to pack a journal and head into the woods when I needed some quiet time. If I was upset, I could sit under the trees and write until my thoughts cleared. These days, I still like to go for walks in the woods, but I don't spend much time journaling.
Today I got in-touch with my inner tweenage/teenage self and brought a notebook with me. After taking photos, I had some time to listen to the sound of the creek, smell the moss, and reflect.
