Emma Watson: Fashion Revolutionary

I don't know anyone who doesn't love Emma Watson. Boys want to marry her and girls want to be her. If you haven't seen it yet, here is a little blurb from her CNN interview where she talks about the future of fashion and movement towards sustainability.

Emma recently made a pledge to only wear sustainable fashion on the red carpet and the result is this gorgeous dress that she wore to the Met Gala earlier this week:
Her dress is made from recycled plastic bottles spun into yarn; it has several different parts that can be re-worn and remixed instead of the usual wear it once and be done with it mentality.

Personal Note:
I watched Emma Watson's interview and had to share it. She talks about the power we have when we buy clothes and the enormity of the fashion industry. Fashion affects everyone because we all have to get dressed in the morning. What you buy and what you wear makes a difference. Clothing sends a message and that message affects other people.
What we can do: wear clothing that's good for the environment, that's good for the people who made it. Make sustainable purchases. I think that fashion bloggers have a particular responsibility to send this message. It's more important to select quality items that can be worn again and again instead of something that we wear once for a photo and ditch a few months later.
